GirlUp Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club Meet to Discuss Future Partnerships
GirlUP Abu Dhabi meets with Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club to explore opportunities to support girls and young women in marine sports.
Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club held a meeting with GirlUp Abu Dhabi, part of the global Girl Up initiative of the United Nations Foundation, to discuss initial plans for developing programs aimed at encouraging and supporting girls and young women aged 13 to 24 to participate in marine sports.
The meeting explored opportunities to design dedicated programs for girls that would introduce them to the marine environment, develop their sporting and leadership skills, and enhance their participation in the UAE’s marine community.
The meeting marked an initial step toward exploring potential areas of cooperation between both parties and developing future initiatives that provide girls and young women with opportunities to learn, participate, and build self-confidence through marine sports.
